| Antique Sessions Clock Co. Beehive Style Clock |
You are looking at a handsome beehive style clock made by the Sessions Clock
Co., Forestville, Conn. U.S.A. Those words are marked at the bottom of the
white porcelain face that has Arabic numerals. The clock is an 8-day time,
hour and half-hour strike, circa 1890's. Sometimes this type of clock would
be called a mantel clock but most often they are referred to as a shelf
clock. The clock has what looks like warm mahogany veneers. The finish is
lovely and rich looking. You could have this beauty as an elegant focal
point in your living room, library/study or on the mantel over the fireplace.
The chime is soft like a small bell. The clock is really beautiful and is
in great shape. The clock has been checked over by our watchmaker/repairman
and cleaned, lubricated and balanced, using synthetic lubricants. The clock
measures 13" H x 8&3/4" W x 6" D (accounting for the curved glass covering
the dial). Why not add this lovely clock to you collection. The clock has
its key included which winds the clock and also can adjust the speed the
clock runs.
