Native American Indian Hand Crafted Sheath and Machette

The item you are looking at is a hand made machette with sheath. This item has a Native American/ Indian theme and I am pretty sure that it was made by a Native American however I do not see any indication as to who or what tribe this item was made by. The sheath was made by wrapping a hide around a wood frame and stiching it together. The hide has been cured and is very tough. The Machette is basically a solid piece of metal cut and sharperned to the form of a machette. The handle was made by wraping hide around the base of the metal. There is a few raises in the handle to aid with the grip, the handle has no stitching. There is a belt attached to the sheath which has some decorative beads. This is a solid piece and a great collectible for anyone who likes blades or Native American crafts. This piece is more of a functional tool for trailblazing or clearing up brush as opposed to a weapon. This measures 17.75 inches long
